The Friends of the Wagnalls Memorial Library is a separate 501c3 charitable organization formed to support The Wagnalls Memorial. The purpose of the group is four-fold: educate the public, recruit volunteers, produce events for Wagnalls, and raise funds to support the endeavors of The Wagnalls Memorial.
Friends of the Library do this by holding used book sales throughout the year and selling concessions at the Wagnalls Community Theater shows. From these fundraisers and annual membership dues, the Friends have most recently purchased stoves for the Social Hall kitchen and new water fountain with a water bottle filler. They also support the Summer Reading Program and staff and volunteer recognition events.
